The COVID-19 pandemic has hit the aviation sector across the world very hard and is causing significant distress for the airline companies. Because of the lockdowns, huge fleets of airlines are now grounded and can be seen parked on runways in some airports, while some airlines such as Air Mauritius, South African airlines and Virgin Australia went belly up.
Airlines in India are also getting affected due to the pandemic. All international and domestic flights have been cancelled and the aircrafts are currently grounded. The whole fleets of Indigo(262 aircrafts), Spicejet(117), Air India(127), Air Asia, Go Air and Vistara are now grounded and their aircrafts are parked in different airports across the country.
